Originally this program started as Predator Free Napier Hill – it soon became clear that the effort to coordinate funds materials and resources for this area meant that rolling out the platform to other urban areas was simply a matter of finding individuals to coordinate localised areas and coordinating with the appropriate local council.
As such Predator Free “Urban Hawke’s Bay” was born. This grid remains relevant by way of illustrating the sort of “zoning” and coverage we seek, though the optimist that I am, I think having at least one trap for every 2 households in each of our urban centres is within our reach.
So, to be clear – Hastings, Havelock North, Wairoa, Waipukurau, Waipawa – I’m on my way!
